Experience one of Madeira’s most unforgettable sunsets with this great-value shared tour to Pico do Arieiro, one of the island’s most breathtaking mountain viewpoints. This option offers a comfortable and affordable way to enjoy spectacular scenery at golden hour and watch the sun set above the clouds in an iconic location. Pickup is included from designated meeting points only. If trail access is open and conditions allow, you may also choose to do the famous Stairway to Heaven walk on a self-guided basis. The optional walk is approximately 2.4 km in total. We normally go to Pico do Arieiro, but if weather or visibility conditions are not favourable, an alternative viewpoint may be used to provide the best possible sunset experience. Please bring warm clothing, as temperatures at the summit can be much lower than in Funchal. Toilet facilities are limited. Return departure is 30 minutes after sunset.
